The Government College of Commerce and Economics, Borda-Margao was established by the State Government of Goa in June 2010 for providing inclusive higher education for the students from the underprivileged sections of society, especially catchment region of Borda, Fatorda and surrounding areas. The college, which is affiliated to the Goa University, is a mono faculty college offering the Bachelor of Commerce Programme.Besides the normal curriculum, the college offers its students a large number of facilities and amenities with the objective of making the teaching learning process more productive and fruitful.

Our college offers the B.Com Honours Degree programme in DSE Accounting, DSE Cost Accounting, in addition introduced DSE Business Management for the Academic Year 2020-21.Besides graduating with a commerce degree we ensure that you will pickup life enhancing skills through additional skill development courses, internship programmes and short term certificate courses during the course of your three years of learning with us.
We are thankful to the Directorate of Higher Education for upgrading the Commerce Lab with Smart boards, Computers and Lab software and the solar paneling of 30KV on rooftop.
Our institution initiated to start four IGNOU P.G. Programmes, viz., in Political Science, History, Public Administration and Sociology from the academic year 2020-21.
