he Department of Commerce organized a Book Release and Certificate Distribution Ceremony on 12th November 2022 at 10:30 am in the college seminar hall.
The chief guest for the function was Prof. Dr. F. M. Nadaf- Asst. Director of Education, Directorate of Higher Education. Principal congratulated the department of Commerce for conducting many short term certificate courses, inter-collegiate activities and also for the release of a book and the college research journal QUEST. He also spoke about the New Education Policy and how it is going to bring about changes in the education system. Chief Guest Dr. F. M. Nadaf spoke about the importance of NEP 2020 and how the NEP is going to benefit the students by allowing them to pursue a wide area of subjects. He said that the NEP 2020 WOULD BE IMPLEMENTED IN Goa from the next academic year in different phases and that clusters would be formed and each cluster would comprise of different colleges from a particular area. He said that a student can chose colleges from a particular cluster if he or she wants to opt for different subjects of his or her liking. He also mentioned that the NEP would bring about changes in the education system in India. He also said that a student will receive a certificate after completing each year of studying at the bachelor’s level. He also congratulated the department of commerce for organizing various certificate courses and competitions and events for the students as this would increase their employability.
