Mr. Onkar Ainapur is an accomplished academician and technology educator with over 30 years of teaching experience in the field of Computer Science and Applied Electronics. He is presently serving as an Associate Professor in the Department of Data Science and Computational Studies at the Government of Goa’s College of Multidisciplinary Studies and Research, Margao-Goa. He also serves as the ChiefVigilance Officer of the College.

He holds a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Applied Electronics and possesses extensive expertise in Computer Science, Embedded Systems, Internet of Things (IoT), Linux Systems, Open-Source Technologies, Educational Technology, and ICT-enabled Teaching-Learning. His rich academic career reflects a strong commitment to quality education, technology integration, curriculum development, and student mentoring.

Before joining the College in September 2023, Mr. Ainapur served with distinction at the Government of Goa College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Quepem, where he contributed significantly to undergraduate teaching, institutional administration, academic quality initiatives, and project guidance for nearly three decades.

Mr. Ainapur is the Chairperson of the Board of Studies (BoS) in Data Science and Computational Studies and has previously served as a Member of the Board of Studies of Goa University. He has played a pivotal role in curriculum development, institutional quality enhancement, and the implementation of NIRF, AISHE, and NAAC-related initiatives, while also supporting digital transformation and ICT integration in higher education.

Mr. Ainapur is a passionate advocate of Open-Source Software and Linux-based technologies. He has conducted numerous workshops and expert sessions on Linux command-line tools, Embedded Systems, Arduino programming, Robotics, and emerging technologies for students, faculty members, and educational institutions. His practical and application-oriented teaching approach has inspired learners to develop strong technical and problem-solving skills.

His academic interests include Operating Systems, Computer Networks, Programming Fundamentals, Embedded Systems, Internet of Things (IoT), Educational Technology, Digital Literacy, and Technical Skill Development. He has also contributed to research and scholarly activities as an Editorial Board Member of the multilingual research journal SHODH and has actively participated in national conferences, faculty development programmes, seminars, and technology awareness initiatives.
