National Service Scheme (NSS) and National Cadet Corps:

The National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of the College plays a vital role in fostering the spirit of social responsibility, community service, and nation-building among students. Functioning under the motto “Not Me But You,” the NSS encourages students to actively participate in activities that contribute to the welfare of society while promoting their overall personality development.

The College NSS unit regularly organises a wide range of extension and outreach programmes, including cleanliness drives, tree plantation campaigns, blood donation camps, health and hygiene awareness programmes, environmental conservation initiatives, road safety campaigns, voter awareness programmes, disaster management awareness, and community development activities. NSS volunteers also observe important national and international days through awareness campaigns, rallies, workshops, and social service activities.

A Special Residential Camp is organised annually in nearby villages or communities, providing volunteers with opportunities to understand local issues and contribute through need-based interventions. Participation in NSS activities helps students develop leadership qualities, teamwork, communication skills, social sensitivity, discipline, and a strong sense of civic responsibility. Through its sustained community engagement, the NSS unit serves as an effective platform for nurturing socially responsible and responsible citizens.

The College does not have its own National Cadet Corps (NCC) unit. However, students interested in joining the NCC are encouraged and guided to enrol in the Open NCC Unit available at a neighbouring college. The College extends all necessary support and guidance to facilitate their participation in NCC activities, enabling students to benefit from leadership training, discipline, adventure activities, and opportunities for national-level camps and programmes.
