The Government of Goa’s College of Multidisciplinary Studies and Research (Autonomous) (CMSR), Margao, has emerged as a trusted knowledge partner by undertaking consultancy assignments for Government departments in the areas of education, social audit, and geospatial research.
Social Audit of Samagra Shiksha
The College has been recognized by the Goa State Council of Educational Research and Training (GSCERT) as the Social Audit Unit for conducting the Social Audit of the Samagra Shiksha programme for the academic years 2023–24, 2024–25, and 2025–26.
As part of this consultancy assignment:
- The Social Audit Report for 2023–24 has been successfully completed and submitted.
- The Social Audit for 2024–25 is currently in progress.
- The consultancy assignment has been sanctioned with financial assistance of ₹8,64,400 for 2023–24 and ₹8,43,600 for 2024–25.
The project enables the College to contribute to strengthening transparency, accountability, and quality assurance in the implementation of school education programmes across the State while providing valuable opportunities for faculty and student engagement in applied research and field-based evaluation.
Comprehensive Atlas of Goa
The Department of Goa Gazetteer and Historical Records, Government of Goa has entrusted the College with the preparation of a Comprehensive Atlas of Goa and sanctioned ₹8,50,000 for the project.
The Atlas will present an integrated and scientifically documented account of Goa covering its physical, social, cultural, economic, historical, environmental, demographic, and developmental dimensions through the application of modern Geographical Information Systems (GIS), Remote Sensing, cartographic techniques, and spatial analysis.
The project is expected to serve as an authoritative reference for researchers, planners, policymakers, administrators, educators, and the general public while showcasing the College’s expertise in multidisciplinary research and geospatial sciences.
