Overview – Academic Body Members

The Academic Body Members of Government College Borda (Autonomous) serves as the principal academic authority and plays a pivotal role in shaping the academic direction of the college. It is responsible for upholding high academic standards by reviewing and framing curricula, suggesting new courses, ensuring the quality of teaching and learning, and fostering research and innovation.

Comprising senior faculty members, Heads of Departments, university representatives, and external experts from both academia and industry, the Academic Council brings together diverse perspectives to steer academic policy. It reviews and approves syllabi proposed by the Boards of Studies and ensures that the college’s academic programs align with current trends and societal demands.

As the key decision-making body for academic affairs, the Council meets periodically to deliberate and make informed decisions on crucial academic matters. This ensures that Government College Borda Autonomous continues to maintain its reputation for academic excellence, student-centric programs, and continual improvement in education.
